Cannes, our 10 suggestions:

  1. Explore the unique Suquet district. The Suquet hill is the oldest district of Cannes, offering you a breathtaking view of the Old Harbor and the city of Cannes. Superb at sunset!
  2. Stroll through the pretty Forville market. Located at the foot of the old town, the Forville market is the historic market of Cannes. Open every morning (from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.) but Mondays are devoted to flea market and antiques.
  3. Take a walk on the emblematic Croisette. Known worldwide, thanks to the Cannes Film Festival, this pedestrian boulevard starts at the foot of the Palais des Festivals and runs along the bay to Pointe Croisette, across from the Sainte-Marguerite Island
  4. Savor an ice cream at Vilfeu, one of the oldest ice cream maker in Cannes! A true ice cream master of Cannes
  5. Take a boat ride to the Lérins Islands, famous for its fort which, legend says, had sheltered the Man with the iron mask, and the Saint-Honorat island. Accessible within a few minutes by boat from Cannes.
  6. Enjoy the beach. Cannes has almost 8 kilometers of sandy beaches, they offer an ideal setting to enjoy the sun and the Mediterranean without leaving the city!
  7. Try your luck at the Casino. Cannes is the only city in France to host three casinos: Casino Croisette, Casino Les Princes and Casino du 3.14.
  8. Take to the heights at the Croix des Gardes park. This natural area located at the top of a hill, less than a kilometer from the Croisette, offers an exceptional panoramic view of the Cannes landscape.
  9. Admire the boats in the Old Harbor
  10. Take a selfie in front of the Cannes Palais des Festivals, like a movie star.

Antibes, our 10 suggestions:

  1. The walk along the "Chemin des Douaniers" path. At Cap d'Antibes, a pleasant and accessible walk: the "Chemin des Douaniers" path! Often closed in winter because the sea can be rough, summer is the ideal season to enjoy it. If you plan on doing this walk however, remember to put on the right shoes.
  2. The little train in Juan-les-pins. It is a small train that connects Antibes and Juan-les-pins, passing through the old part of Antibes, the ramparts and a small stretch along the Cap d'Antibes. Operates daily from February to November.
  3. Paddle board lessons. In the morning, the sea's condition is ideal for those who want to try paddle boards. An activity that is very popular in the area. The Cap Kayak Paddle Center offers different options for those who wish to practice: in a group, supervised by a teacher, or, for the more experienced, rent a paddle board and enjoy it by yourself.
  4. A ride in the Visiobulle (glass-bottom vessel). You will have a view of the seabed in the "Baie des milliardaires". A truly magnificent place, where the waters are crystal clear.
  5. Visit of the Biot glass factory. A few minutes outside of Antibes, in the small town of Biot, you should definitely visit the famous glass factory. You can also buy some beautiful pieces of tableware, with the typical characteristic of this factory: tiny air bubbles embedded in the glass. You will also have an opportunity to do a small initiation course in glass-blowing.
  6. The Picasso Museum in Antibes. An essential place to visit if you are on vacation in the region: the Picasso Museum in Antibes. Located near the ramparts in the Old Antibes, the museum is located in the Grimaldi castle of Antibes (registed castle). You can not only admire works by Pablo Picasso, but also by Nicolas de Staël, Fernand Léger and Hans Hartung.
  7. The Sea and Coastline park of Cap d'Antibes. The Sea and Coastline park is situated on a rocky promontory, at the southern end of Cap d'Antibes. Access to the site is free and you can participate in various workshops and events that are regularly offered. Aquatic hikes are also offered from 8-year old children to adults.
  8. The Old Antibes and its Provençal market. The Old Antibes is a lively place, there are small restaurants, bars, and the famous Provençal market during the day. With its fairly large marina, there is a strong English community in Antibes, and this is found through the many pubs. As for the Provençal market, it is open every day from 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. You can find lots of good local products there.
  9. Le Bois des lutins (the Elves' Woods), located in Villeneuve-Loubet a few kilometers from Antibes, is in an amusement park surrounded by nature. Children will enjoy tree climbing and other outdoor leisure activities. Bring hats and good walking shoes if you decide to spend the day there.
  10. Spend the day on Sainte-Marguerite Island. Located off Cannes, you can take a shuttle boat from Juan-les-pins which will take you to the islands. Once on Sainte-Marguerite Island (the first island coming from the mainland), take a walk around and make time to find the perfect beach that will welcome you for the whole day. Bring water shoes to walk in the sea because the sea floor is rocky, you can injure yourself if you go in the water barefoot.
